Introducing CEO Monica Grant
Monica Grant, CFRE, is our new CEO of the San Luis Obispo County YMCA. She was most recently the Senior Director of Development for the Arts at UC Santa Cruz, where she oversaw the major gifts and development operations for a large and diverse division. Monica has over twenty-five years of experience as a nonprofit and development professional, including 14 years with the YMCA, most recently as the Vice President of Resource Development for the YMCA of Honolulu, The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii, United Way, and Sierra Club. She has also run her own consulting firm, providing fundraising consulting, planning, organizational development, training and facilitation for nonprofits with a focus on capacity building and sustainability.
Monica is an avid cyclist, golfer, and “active” person. She also has a background in the performing arts and is an arts enthusiast. Monica greatly looks forward to being a part of our community and engaging with our members and supporters. Stay tuned for future communications from our new CEO.
