The San Luis Obispo County YMCA is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1956. The YMCA is committed and equipped to meet the changing needs and challenges of San Luis Obispo County's
families and communities, from Shandon to Arroyo Grande.
The demand for financial assistance in our county is great, and our programs need your support more than ever. Each year the Y raises funds through the Annual Support Campaign to ensure
that no one is turned away from the Y due to an inability to pay in full. In 2018, the Y assisted youth and families with over $217,000 in financial assistance to participate in Y
programs and services.
The Annual Support Campaign is run by the hard work of our volunteer campaigners, who are members of the community generous enough to give their time to promote the Y and ask for
support. For over 60 years, SLO County YMCA has joined together with volunteers and donors like you to respond to the changing needs of our community - transforming lives
and building brighter futures for generations of youth, families, and individuals.
