With a commitment to nurturing the potential of children and teens, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, Y camps ensure that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.
The Y's summer camp programs are offered across SLO County, including Arroyo Grande, Cambria, Grover Beach, Los Osos, Paso Robles, and San Luis Obispo.
Strap on your hiking boots and bring your sunscreen! YMCA Trailblazer Camp (1st-3rd grades) and High Adventures Camp (4th-7th grades) will experience the ultimate travel camp experience by participating in exciting and educational field trips 3-4 times per week. Campers will be using public transportation, school district buses and walking to travel to our destinations. Camps will host guest speakers and enjoy traditional camp experiences and traditions that build character, learn team building skills, and promote a positive self image. Don’t miss out on the fun! Join us while we ignite your talents by participating in this hands on creative camp designed to develop new skills and make new friends. For 5 weeks, our Sparks Campers will complete a variety of projects & activities based on that's weeks theme. This camp is designed for K-6th graders, with age appropriate camp groups to allow campers to reach their full potential at camp. Extended care options are available for an additional fee.

Junior Explorers Summer Day Camp is for ages 3-5 years and must be potty independent. This weekly camp has activities that align with each camp theme and promote achievement of our camp goals. Such activities encompass arts, outdoor learning, health and fitness, games, sports, service learning projects, and character development. Campers will rotate between activities in age appropriate groups throughout the program day so they are exposed to new learning and experiences.
Located in Grover Beach
In collaboration with SLCUSD, Camp Thrive is available for 2nd - 5th grade students who are attending summer school. This enrichment camp helps close the achievement gap and supports literacy development. This unique camp provides after school programs Monday - Thursday, and field trips every Friday.
Pioneer Camps are designed for K-6th graders. Campers will enjoy a balance of field trips and stay days throughout the week to keep them busy and engaged. From team building, character development and skill building, the camp is designed with traditional camp activities & projects. We will bring in weekly guest speakers that promote healthy choices, physical activity, and promote positive self esteem. To ensure that campers' experiences are as age appropriate as possible, campers will be placed into camper groups weekly based on grade. Don’t miss out on the fun! Spaces are limited!
