Thank you for choosing the SLO County YMCA for your health and wellness needs.
You've found more than just a place to workout. You've found a membership that supports your health, and supports the community.
To complete your membership, visit The Y at 1020 Southwood Drive and let us know you joined online. Be prepared to show your ID, take a photo, complete any missing
paperwork, and obtain your Y key tag!
Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your Y experience:
Ask for a tour: Get familiar with your Y facility and services, learn the location of the locker rooms, Kid's Zone, pool, and group fitness classes. Our staff are always available to show
you around.
Schedule a FREE Equipment Orientation: It is important that all of our members feel safe and comfortable using the equipment in our facility. YMCA staff can ensure you are using the
equipment safely and to your full advantage. Equipment Orientations are required for teen members (age 13-17)
Prefer to use your mobile phone or smart watch instead of a key tag? Add it to your smart wallet!
*Operating Procedure for Individuals ages 17 and under:
All individuals who are in-between the ages of 13-17 must meet with a personal trainer for an Equipment Orientation before gaining access to the facility.
Once they have participated in this orientation, they may use the facility unsupervised by an adult, including classes, cardio equipment, and any other area of the Y.
Children, ages 8 to 12, may participate in Kid's Zone or in the following family friendly options:
basketball, swimming, and select group exerciseclasses under the supervision of a responsible adult member. Use of the weighted workout equipment is
prohibited.
