Members, we are open!
We are pleased to welcome you back to the Y! The Y is currently open for indoor, outdoor and online fitness.
To ensure your safety, the safety of other members, and the safety of our Y staff, all members should review important information.
What's Open?
Effective June 15, 2021, the Y is open without any capacity limits or distancing required by the state. Effective March 14, 2022, masking is reccomended for all members.
Even with fewer restrictions, your health remains our priority. Equipment at the Y will remain physically distanced, some classes may continue to be offered outdoors, and we are still asking you to wipe down your equipment before and after use. We also encourage you to continue to take precautions for your own health, such as to wear a face covering, keep socially distanced, and sanitize your hands frequently.
All members will be required to review our updated facility guidelines. These guidelines explain new facility updates, safety protocols and etiquette. You must sign our updated liability and conduct waivers prior to visiting the Y.
Our Y will be following all updated local and state guidelines as they pertain to wellness checks for all members, staff and guests. These checks may include, but not limited to, daily temperature checks and/or a set of inquiry questions.
Members, staff, and guests must practice CDC Safety Guidelines when inside the facility:
Members and staff are required to sanitize their hands upon entry and exit. Members must also wipe down their equipment before and after use. We have added new hand sanitizing and gym wipe stations in the facility for easy access. Failure to comply may result in an immediate removal from our Y Fitness Facility and a revocation of the membership.
To ensure your safety, and the safety of others, we will initially have limited facility occupancy. We ask that members limit their facility usage to 90 minutes per visit. Occupancy, reservations, and time limits will be adjusted as allowed.
Our staff will be there to serve you with a smile, however, germ shields have been put in place for their protection, and they may be wearing masks or gloves while serving you. Staff will maintain a 6 foot distance around themselves throughout the day, and follow all CDC recommended guidelines for safety. Staff will continue to wear face coverings, per CAL-OSHA standards.
Over the past year we have provided regular communication with our members, primarily through email. (If you didn't receive messages, you may have unsubscribed from a previous email or your email address is missing in our system. Please contact us at (805) 543-8235 to ensure your email address is up-to-date.) We asked all of our members to stay with us, in support the Y’s mission during this time. Members also have the choice to place their account on hold. Call us at (805) 543-8235 or visit the Y to talk to our staff about a 3 month hold.
Have you experienced financial hardship? The Y is committed to serving everyone in our community and through our financial assistance program, you can receive a reduction in your monthly membership fees. Apply for financial assistance today.
